the first in a series about what your bag can carry. please submit your bags in action. here’s 40+ zippers and a 13oz bottle of honey. and probably my phone and some stickers.
one day while digging, i discovered this grey tent sack, hidden in an army/navy. it was the perfect condition to begin a new life in a different form.
with only enough material for two nicely sized bags, i knew i wanted to make a pair using the new colors of waxed canvas recently stocked.
but a material with this much character feels comfy and worn, like a hand-me-down does.
each bag has a durable brass 30″ YKK zipper that travels half way down each side, allowing you to stuff it as full as you can manage.
they both just found their way to the webstore, so don’t sleep on these! and have fun out there!
In the midst of a relentless Winter, d’emploi is pleased to announce a project that takes the bite out of the wind and keeps the snow out of your bag: the MA-1 Jacket + Rucksack.
First introduced in the 1950s by the US Air Force, the MA-1 Flyer’s Jacket -a successor to the leather bomber- was all about keeping our pilots safe + warm at the highest altitudes.
Our version, made in West Virginia, brings that same level of safety to today’s biker, hiker, or anyone requiring some visibility in their style.
Updates to the Rucksack include added back padding, more internal organizers and improved strap design. Vintage brass Talon zipper sounds as heavy as it looks.
The jacket and bag will be offered with a 2 week, discounted pre-order, or combine them for an extreme discount until Feb 15th. Orders start shipping out shortly after pre-order.
